loozy Terms of Use
This is a courtesy translation. If there is any discrepancy, the Portuguese (Portugal) version prevails.
1. What loozy is
An app that helps you find public and partner toilets. The information comes from OpenStreetMap and from the people who use the app.
2. Accepting these terms
To use loozy you need an account. By creating it you accept these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't create an account — and we collect nothing from you.
Minimum age: 13 years. By creating an account you declare that you are at least that old.
When you create an account you give us your name, a username and your email. The username is public and signs what you contribute; your name is not shown to anyone. Sex and age range are optional and you may leave them out.
3. Your account
The account only becomes active after you confirm your email with the code we send you. An account not confirmed within 7 days is deleted.
You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens on your account. Tell us if you think someone has accessed it.
You can delete the account at any time in Profile → Account settings.
4. What you contribute
When you add a toilet, write a review or send a photo:
- You remain the author. We don't own what you do.
- You grant us a licence, non-exclusive, worldwide and free of charge, to show that content in the app and in loozy materials.
- The location data you add may be contributed back to OpenStreetMap under the ODbL licence, which is how we receive most of the map. That's how the commons is kept alive.
- You warrant that you have the right to send what you send — in particular, that photos are yours and don't show identifiable people without consent.
5. What you can't do
- Send false, offensive or illegal information, or advertising.
- Photograph people, especially inside sanitary facilities. Photograph the door, the entrance, the state of the place — never people.
- Use reports to harm a competing establishment.
- Automate access, scrape data in bulk or try to bypass limits.
- Try to access other people's accounts or data.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. Whenever possible, we tell you why.
6. Reporting content
Any toilet, photo or review can be reported inside the app, from the options menu on each piece of content. What you report is hidden from you immediately; if several people report the same content, it is removed from everyone's view until reviewed. You can also block the author of a review or photo: you stop seeing what that person posts (Profile → Blocked users).
For urgent cases, or anything involving an identifiable person, write to ola@loozygo.com — we reply within two working days and immediately remove anything manifestly illegal.
7. Badges and contributions
loozy shows how many toilets you added, how many you rated, and badges for milestones reached.
This has no monetary value. They are not points that can be bought, nor exchanged for money, discounts or prizes, nor do they enter draws. They are just a record of what you contributed. They cannot be transferred and disappear if you delete your account.
If one day we create a programme with real benefits, it will have its own rules, published and accepted separately.
8. The information may be wrong
loozy shows information from third parties and from the community. We don't guarantee that a toilet is open, clean, accessible or free. Check on site. We are not responsible for trips made on the basis of outdated information.
The service is provided "as is". We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or loss of profits. Nothing in these terms removes the rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived by contract — namely Decree-Law no. 57/2008 in Portugal and the Consumer Defence Code in Brazil.
10. Partners
Partner establishments are marked as such. The consumer relationship, where it exists, is between you and the establishment — we are not a party to it.
11. Changes
We may change these terms. If the change is significant, we let you know inside the app at least 30 days in advance, and you can delete your account if you don't agree. We don't change rules retroactively.
12. Applicable law and jurisdiction
(To be completed with the entity's jurisdiction. Note: in Brazil, the Consumer Defence Code allows the consumer to sue in their own domicile, and a forum clause that prevents it is void.)
